🌟 Exciting News for 2026: TAG Goes on Tour! 🌟
Dear members,
As many of you heard during Family Weekend 2025 and at the AGM 2025, the cost of running our traditional conference‑style Family Weekend has increased significantly. Unfortunately, these rising costs now exceed TAG’s current income. As your Board of Trustees, we have a responsibility to ensure that charity funds are used in ways that benefit all members—and in recent years, only a very small percentage of our community has been able to attend the annual weekend.
We also know that location and travel have long been major barriers for many of you. Ensuring TAG is accessible, inclusive, and truly supportive for every member is at the heart of our mission. With that in mind, we are delighted to announce a new initiative for 2026:
🎉 TAG Goes on Tour! 🎉
Rather than hosting a single annual event, TAG will be travelling to different locations throughout the year to bring activities, support, and community directly to you.
By trialling this new approach, we hope to:
- Connect with more members than ever before
- Reach new families who may be learning about TAG for the first time
- Increase visibility and awareness of Arthrogryposis
- Offer more frequent opportunities for members to meet, share experiences, and feel supported
- Use charity funds in a more cost‑effective and impactful way
- We understand that this may feel like a big change for some of you. However, we truly believe it is an exciting opportunity to build a stronger, more connected, and more accessible community.
Your Support Matters
The success of TAG Goes on Tour depends on all of us. We hope you’ll join us at one—or even several—of the tour events throughout the year. With your involvement, we can create meaningful experiences, stronger connections, and a brighter future for our TAG family.
I hope you are as enthusiastic as we are about the chance to take TAG on the road, meet more frequently, and welcome new faces along the way.
As you will see we have go for a zoo theme for our first round event:

Saturday 27th June 2026 - Twycross Zoo
Saturday 11th July 2026 - Blackpool Zoo
Saturday 25th July 2026 - Edinburgh Zoo

Wherever possible please register your interest by midnight on 6th April to give us a rough idea of numbers for each event, this will allow us to calculate costs across all four events. Our aim is cover all admission and lunch costs for members, however we will only be able to confirm this once we have an idea of numbers. Following that we will be share more details and a more comprehensive booking form.
We have a few other things in the pipework, including second round of events in the Autumn in 3 different locations —so stay tuned!
